June 7, 2010. We want to extend our warmest greetings and hope this finds you well. It is with a heavy heart that we reach out to our close friends and family to relay news regarding our beloved Nomi and her 11-year fight with cancer. This draining disease has tried countless times to defeat her yet Nomi's drive, determination, and inner strength has allowed her to continue to forge on surpassing all expectations set by the experts. Her character and strength is nothing short of inspiring and all of us that have witnessed her battle with this affliction could not be more proud of how amazingly she's dealt with this adversity with the utmost grace & dignity.

We are saddened to report that the unyielding monster that is cancer has become too powerful for even Nomi to overcome. On Tuesday, June 1, she was admitted to the hospital with a spreading pneumonia that is literally impeding her ability to breathe. This infection, coupled with her impaired immune system from the existing cancer, has created an almost insurmountable battle that Nomi is unfortunately losing.

We cannot express enough how much everyone's love and support means to all of us, especially Nomi. For that, please accept our deepest, most sincere thanks. It is in difficult times when one can see a snap-shot of all the people that truly care. We feel truly blessed to have such wonderful people in our lives.
